I strongly recommend camping reservations. Take note that majority of the population prefer camping as an outdoor activities especially during weekend or holidays. So, always think that everybody is going out. It is better to be prepared at all times, right? It is hard to spoil a family trip just because of a fault on the camp sites.

Reservations are not only a good idea but a necessity. My wife and I have been going to Asseteague Islandin Maryland for about 6 years now. If you do not make your reservations about a year in advance you probablt will not get to camp where you would prefer and will have to scramble to find another park.

I personally always reserve a place first, once you make the mistake of not doing it you will never do it again
