Love the game tips. We need more sites dedicated to getting families together to go camping. I've started my own site too at http://www.familycampman.com

The ice maximizing tips are great. On top of all that I offer Cooler Insulators that block 97% of the radiant heat and maximize the life of your ice. Our tests show that coolers with insulators are 30 degrees cooler inside vs coolers without. Take a look: http://www.coolerinsulators.com

Nav systems are great, but I've found that you need to have an idea of your route. Both systems I have sometimes lead one astray, down dead end streets, or down the road, across narrow mountain log roads, etc. which in turn are not only impassable but are just not there. Otherwise they are great and can always get you back to your original destination "home".

My wife and I are having our first child, and are avid campers, both back country and car camping. It might be time to keep the tent for the back country and look at a tent trailer. There are some excellent choices out there, and they have come a long way since my father's tent trailer.
